Today is the 1st day of the RV Fantasy Rally. It was still cloudy but quit raining when we got up. Sun comes out every now and then but stayed cloudy most of the time.
We pre registered at the camp and filled out some papers.
At 4:00 pm we had our orientation at the Arena. Greg Bruce gave the orientation. He's a native New Orleaneans so he knows a lot about New Orleans and Mardi Gras.
At 7:00 pm the Masquerade Party began at the Arena. Came in costumes and masque. Earl wore a Jester hat and Rick wore a colorful regular hat. Nikki and I wore exactly the same mask except hers is green and mine was purple. Live jazz band and buffet dinner was served.Open bar and a traditional King cake was also served. At this event they chose the King and Queen of this event. Whoever gets a baby inside their cake gets the honor to be the King and Queen. Gerg Bruce led the 2nd line with a colorful umbrella. All us folks were dancing with the live jazz band until our bed time.
