Hawaiian Cruise Day 6

7:45 AM Zaandam cruise ship docks in Hilo, Hawaii.
Partly cloudy 83 degrees
Routine early morning-mass, breakfast and went out to shore in Hilo. We were greeted with Lei's by the natives. Took the free shuttle and went shopping at Hilo Hatties and other stores. Walked around town. We didn't go to any of their excursions- we were there last year and enjoyed them then.Went to Botanical garden, to the falls and to the volcano.
Went back to the ship after our shopping spree and had lunch. After lunch did our routine activities in the ship. Watch movie,more shopping, watch people lose their money in the casino, relax at the Crows Nest, watch football in our room, dinner, walked around the deck and watch a comedian at the Mondrian Lounge.

Day 5 at Sea
Another calm day at sea. Same routine. Light air,calm seas,partly cloudy skies. I think we're getting close to Hawaii. We can feel a warmer air and felt some humidity. So many things to do at the ship. Shopping is always fun. A lot of sales at the Shop Signature. Love their popcorn when watching the movie. Love to go to Casino and watch people deposit their cash on the machine with nothing in return.

Hawaiian Cruise Day 4

Day 4 at Sea
Another day at sea. Weather wise, it's gently breezy, smooth seas, overcast with showers. Earl up again at 5:30, walked around the deck, took sunrise photos, had coffee and muffin at Lido deck. Woke up at 7:00 and got ready for mass at 8:00. After mass up to Lido deck for breakfast-omelet,bacon, sausage, guava juice and coffee. After breakfast up to the top deck and enjoyed a little bit of the peeking sun. From top deck to the Crow's Nest deck. We lounge and snacked with peanut and little fish crackers and enjoyed watching the sea as we cruise along. Next thing you know it's lunch time again. After lunch back to our room and watch college football. After football went to Wajang theatre to watch a movie. After movie dinner time at Canalleto dining room for Italian food.
At 8:00PM went to watch live show at the Mondrian theatre. Lots of singing and dancing by a professional group.

Hawaiian Cruise Day 3

Day 3 At Sea.
Overcast skies again but not as rough. Earl is up again at 5:30 and did his walk. Had his sugarless muffin and coffee at Lido deck at around 6:00. He took a few pictures of the sunrise. He got me up at 7:00 . At 8:00 we attended mass at the Wajang theatre room with Fr. Mike from San Diego as the celebrant. After mass we had our breakfast at the Lido deck buffet. Good breakfast.
Went shopping at the Shoppes after breakfast. Bought 5 costume rings. Wished I bought more for the price. Walked around. Went to the casino and played slots. As usual a loser.
Ooops it's lunch time again. This time we went to a seat down place. Good meal again. The only time that we eat 3 meals a day is when we're cruising.
Joined Earl walked around the deck. 4 times around is equivalent to a mile.

Hawaiian Cruise Day 2

At Sea.
Earl got up at 5:30 AM. Walked around the deck several times for his regular walk. Overcast skies and rough seas. My patch didn't work. I was sick from all the motions of the ship. Inspite of the sea sickness I still manage to eat the food that they have. We have an open seating so we don't have to eat on a specific time. We love to go to the top deck, it's called Crows Nest. It's right in front of the ship. They do all their dancing, karoake and games here. They have a bar and stewards are all nice people. It's a good place to relax,nap and play trivias.
We go and watch TV and love the popcorns that they put out. Always looking forward for the popcorns.

Hawaiian Cruise 12-19-10/01-02-11

It's Sunday and raining really hard. Matthew is taking us to San Diego for our cruise to Hawaii.
Left at 10 AM and arrived in San Diego at 11:30. Still early for check in so we took Matt to lunch at Spaghetti Factory. After lunch he dropped us at the Port where our cruise ship is parked.
12:30 Pm - Embarked at the Zaandam cruise ship in San Diego for Hilo, Hawaii.
Scheduled to sail at 5:00Pm but due to some technical problem the ship sailed at 6:20Pm.

Mini Reunion Day # 2

Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010
Today is a continuation of our reunion. It's going to be at Peachy's house again. Earl and I went to their house around 10am to have Peachy's power breakfast. Peachy's power breakfast is consist of eggs,fried rice,corned beef and adobo and any drink you want. When we got there our classmate Elsa Castro was there and just arrived from Michigan. Her new name now is Andrea William Parker. Haven't seen her since we graduated from college that's 44 yrs. ago. One by one our classmates were arriving at Peachy's house. We had our food catered from a Filipino caterer. All filipino foods. There were 16 of us plus some spouses who showed up at this reunion. We watched the DVD of our college days and previous reunions, Karoake headed by Peachy,Susan and Kohnia. It was an all day affair. Everybody started leaving around 6pm
