Bethlehem

7/27/2017 Thursday
Lumin and I went to a Tourism agent and booked our trip to Nazareth, Sea of Galilee and Tiberius. It cost us $94 each. While there we asked the agent on a trip to Bethlehem. She told us that we can take a bus to Bethlehem. She told us that we can take the bus at the Jaffa Gate. When we got there can't find the bus so instead we took a cab. The cab driver asked 400 Shekels and someone will take us for a mini tour in Bethlehem. I bargained for 350 Shekels and he accepted it. Once we got to Bethlehem someone met us and guided us to the Church of Nativity where Jesus was born.

The entrance to the birthplace of Jesus is so tiny to stop onlookers to vandalize the sacred place of Jesus birth.

Mosaic floor from that time

We went down to the blessed grotto of nativity where the silver star marks the tradition of where Jesus was born
.
The silver star is the site Site where Jesus was born

Grotto of the Manger or the Crib
The altar of the Church of Nativity.
We posed right in front of the Manger where Jesus was laid after He was born.

Adjacent to Nativity Church is the Church of St. Catherine

It's the site where Christ appeared to St. Catherine of Alexandria and Angel of the Lord appeared
to Joseph on his dream to take Jesus and His Mother to flee to Egypt.
St. catherine's Church is the entrance to St Jerome's cave. The cave serves as a passage between Grottos of St. Joseph and St. Jerome
