Cairo tour with our driver Yaiah

7/19/2017 Wednesday
Lumin and I had a Cairo tour with Yaiah. He took us around the city of Cairo. He took us to the Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner, also known as the Cave Church. The Church of St. Simon the Tanner, on a ridge above Garbage City, seats 5000 and is ringed with biblical scenes carved into the rock. Before you get to the Church you have to go through Garbage city where they separate cardboards, plastics and other garbage stuff. The church is the biggest Catholic Church in Middle East.

With Yaiah our driver and tour guide.

From St. Simon Church, Yaiah took us to the tomb of Mohammad Ali.He controlled Egypt in 1805 and was the undisputed master of Egypt. His family ruled Egypt for more than 147 years.
