Berkeley,California

Left Chino Hills for Berkeley at 5:30 am with Rachel. Checked in at 1:30 pm in our hotel in Hayward. Hayward is half hour drive from UC Berkeley. After we settled in we took the BART and met Betty in downtown Berkeley. She took us to UC Berkeley campus and show us around.

After the tour we went out for dinner at Betty's favorite Indian Cuisine. Hhmm good.

Labor Day Weekend

Today is St Paul the Apostle's Bowling Tournament.

It's been the tradition of this league to hold the tournament on Labor Day weekend. This year we had it at Oak Tree Lane in Diamond Bar. Started at 2pm and ended at 6pm. 6 games were played and by the time we started the 6th game everybody was exhausted especially the seniors not to mention names. Orlando, Earl and Edna's team was the Team Champion. Edna was the women's match champ and Victor the men's match champ from the winner circle. There were also champ winners from the loser circle but will not mention them.( Can't remember who they were)

After the tournament we had our dinner celebration and award of prizes and trophies at Grand Buffet in Pomona. Lots of fun. Also this is the 1st time that I've seen OCF happy during the award ceremony.

We also planned next years tournament.

Bobet and Tina did a tremendous job in organizing this tournament and also during regular season.

San Nicolas,Pangasinan-Feb28-Mar6 2011

3rd week-San Nicolas,Pangasinan is our base.
We went to Baguio one day and spent the whole day touring the place. The weather wasn't that great. It was rainy when we got to Baguio City. It's not the same Baguio that I know, it's crowded just like Manila. Everything here is expensive but still bought some souvenirs. We pose for pictures as natives(Igorots).Went to Burnham Park,to the Mansion, Mine's View Park. Unable to go to the Grotto, it was raining hard and we were afraid to go up being so slippery.
We had our lunch at the mall. Stayed at the mall for a while and from there we went back home to San Nicolas.

Our 2nd day , still in Las Vegas. Earl got up at 6:00am and went for a walk at the resort. He had blue berry muffin and milk for breakfast. I woke up at 10:30 and it's almost time for lunch. Instead of preparing lunch in the motorhome we decided to have lunch at South Point Casino. Went to their buffet. After lunch we tried our luck at the slot machines. As usual we are just losers. It ate our $20 just like that. That's when we decided to go back to the resort. Updated my blog and by 5:30 we got ready to visit Melanie and Rusty in their home which is 8 miles from where we're at. Visited with them for a while. Rusty and Melanie are very good friends of ours for a long time. They moved to Las Vegas last year from Glendale,Ca. Melanie took us to Krazy Buffet for dinner. Had a good visit at the restaurant and at the same time enjoyed the food. Went back to our RV around 1015pm.

 Wednesday, June 27, 2012 Our 4th day at Durango RV Resort. After our morning routine at the resort we left at 10:00 for Redding. It was a nice warm day. We went and explored the Turtle Bay Park and hiked to the Sacramento River Trail.We went through the Sun Dial Bridge, a foot bridge to go to the park and trail. No vehicles allowed except bikes. It was a good hike for us. We went to the museum but didn't stay very long. After exploring the park, went to Mt. Shasta Mall and did a little shopping. Had Japanese food for lunch. After shopping at the mall we did some grocery shopping at Food Maxx.
Had baked fish for dinner. Went to the Spa in the evening.

Durango RV Resort Red Bluff,Ca 3rd Day

Our 3rd day at this resort. Earl did his early routine. I didn't get up till 9:00. Had bacon and bread for breakfast and decaf coffee. After breakfast we drove to Anderson outlet which is 20 miles from where we're at. After the outlet we explored the city of Red Bluff. Named for the areas reddish cliffs. The city is a distinctly western Victorian town and also located along the Sacramento river. The town has a few antique shops.

Had Chinese food for lunch. Back to the resort and just relaxed the rest of the afternoon. Went to the Spa in the evening.

Earl got up early and went for his 20 minute walk. I woke up at 8:45. Had breakfast at Shari's Restaurant which is just across the resort. Had their stuffed hash brown and steak breakfast while Earl had a Mex Omelet. After breakfast we went to Food Maxx and bought some cherries and peaches. The shopping center is very convenient to the resort. It's located just across the street. Today we didn't do much, we decided to just rest and relax. Went to the SPA and then went for our afternoon walk. Had taco,salad,artichoke and yogurt for dinner. Had cherries and peaches for dessert.

Left Los Banos at 7:45 for our 2nd stop destination Red Bluff, Ca. Gassed at the city of Corning and pumped in 37 gallons for $144.00. Arrived at Durango RV Resort in Red Bluff at 1430. Hooked up the RV and settled down. Weather was perfect. It's usually hot in this area around this time but not today. Rested and had our dinner. After dinner we went to the SPA to relax. Went for a walk. Back to the RV and watched TV.

Left our Chino Hills home at 7:00. Our 1st stop is Los Banos, Ca. It's a 7 hour drive in the motorhome. Since we're not in a rush we just take our time. Stopped for a gas at Buttonwillow, put in 18 gallons for $73.00.We stopped at Coalinga rest area and had our lunch. Relaxed and rested for a while.Our cat Alisto is traveling with us and he is a good well behaved cat traveler. Arrived at Los Banos KOA at 1430. Hooked up the RV and settled down. Attended the 1730 mass at St. Joseph's Church in Los Banos. Had tacos and bean salad for dinner. Walked around the area and looked around. Not much to see.

Alisto seems bored.
